Formally known as Mayang Prisma Sdn. Bhd. It was incorporated in late 1992 and started its full operation in the beginning of 1993.

Formally, the objectives of the company as Trading company to focus specially in distributing and promoting automotive/ integrated light.

From there on, MAYANG PRISMA SDN BHD has started to develop and grow by the increase of its market clientele. Besides, it also widens its market product by diverting from its only product called HELLA, (a German product) to other various product from other parts of the countries. Other brand names that the company involved are like Clarion from Japan, La Sanora from Italy and of cheaper version product from Taiwan called Unique Lite and Super Signals.

At this juncture this company is still looking and searching for the right products for its long term venture and suitable business associate to work with.

In middle 1997, through latest Information Technology ‘E-mail’, the company managed to be in contact with the President Whelen USA who in turn agreed with their Associated and Marketing Partner in UK to appoint WAN-RA ENGINEERING to be the Franchise Agent for “Whelen” and Woodway Engineering Products in Malaysia.

Woodway Engineering uses latest technology in UK and the products are of value-added kind, which are not yet introduced in Malaysia. Mr. Wan Mokhtar gained his full confident as to proceed the business with Woodway Engineering of United Kingdom. Woodway becomes our principal and WAN-RA ENGINEERING has then been appointed as the Sole Distributor in this region.

Currently WAN-RA ENGINEERING (M) SDN BHD had already a list of customers including Government Sectors, Privates Sectors, Open Market and also Export Market.

Coincide with the company’s target to localize its products progressively, by assembling the parts here in Malaysia, WAN-RA ENGINEERING has been granted an assurance with the Technical support from the Principal WOODWAY ENGINEERING.

Both companies had an understanding to adopt a WIN-WIN SITUATION whereby once WAN-RA ENGINEERING manufactures/assembles the products, certain volume will be sent back to the Principal.

WAN-RA ENGINEERING will also be recognized as the distributor for ASEAN countires as well a the Middle East countries.

With this, WAN-RA ENGINEERING had progressed one step further from a Trading Company ventured into Manufacturing/ Assembling Company.

We work closely with the Emergency and Rescue Services, including the Police, Fire and Ambulance and specialist vehicle manufacturers, listening and responding to their needs. This way, we have been able to meet and surpass all their technical requirements, and continually drive forward with new and improved products.
Over the years, our reputation for providing high quality products with excellent service has grown, along with our customer base. Today, we supply more than 80% of the Major Incident High Profile Vehicles with various types of equipment within the West and East Malaysia.

Facilities

Based in an industrial location in Bukit Jelutong Shah Alam, we employ some 25 skilled staffs. The factory complex houses production, warehousing, research and development and installation facilities.

Products

We manufacture Whelen / Wan-Ra products under licence, to meet world wide demand.
We have developed a range of complimentary products including lightbars, beacon lights, lightheads, electronic siren and speakers, traffic advisors, search light, vertical and horizontally-stowed mast systems.

Whelen/Woodway hold ISO9001and Wan-Ra holds SIRIM QAS International Sdn Bhd accreditation which covers both design and manufacturing procedures within the company.
